Well I was dealing with drunkards until sometime after 4.30am and then my cat woke me at 8.01am to let him out the back door. I'm now fully awake and decided this is as good a time as ever to write this blog.
Before I get started, is there a worse noise in the world than a crying cat? It has to be the most irritating sound in existance. No, I know Beiber exists, but cats are worse.
Oh crikey, now I better put in a disclaimer before 100,000 preteen girls hunt me down. I only said it because all the cool kids are, honest.
Anyway, onto the actual blog post. I've always been sort of into photography without actually getting into it. Then I bought a Pentax K100 camera a few weeks back and started snapping away. It's my first proper camera (well, what I'd class as one) and I won't pretend to know about all the different lenses and what they do, but it's been fun. Between going for artistic stuff which goes up here and some of the pictures I've captured of my family and friends, it's been worth the money already.
Last weekend I took it along to a football (soccer) cup final. I didn't get the opportunity to use it during the game, I video the matches for my local team so my hands were full. However, I did take pictures after the match of the celebrations and, low and behold, two of them got published in the local paper last week. It's not exactly the nationals, but it was pretty neat.
So since getting the camera I've breathed life into my Deviant Art association again (I have been here on and off under a different account), got many great photos of family and friends to look back on in years to come and become a published photographer, sort of. Oh, I also look around a lot more. No more eye level for me, oh no. Mostly up right enough, I've been neglecting down. Regardless, I've learned Glasgow has some great buildings. It only took me 26 years to properly notice. My point is, cameras are cool. Use one if you've got it. Get one if you don't.
I fear I may just be mumbling now, so I'll wrap this up. Cheerio!
